Agent offers clients option to pay what they like – so do we – it’s called less!

There’s an article in today’s Estate Agency Magazine reporting that a London estate agent is offering for their clients to pay them what they like – as long as it is between 1.5% and 2.5% on completion based on their performance. Sounds great until you realise that few agents in the area charge over 1.5% anyway! We have a similar offer to let clients pay what they want – and they want to pay LESS – which is why we operate on simple fixed fees which are clear, upfront and can work out from significantly less than 1%. We don’t cover Notting Hill yet, but maybe we should!

More Hard Sell from desperate High Street agents

Another client has had pushy local agents badgering them with the age old line about having a queue of buyers who’s pay over the odds for their home. That will be blind buyers who have never heard of Rightmove. Hmmmm. No wonder our NO HARD SELL approach is winning us friends. Blatant desperation is never a smart sales strategy.

We’re now a Limited Company – how grown up!

From today BigBlackHen.com has become BigBlackHen.com Ltd which makes us feel very grown up indeed. It’s a function of our growing popularity and success. I started the company because I thought there was a gap in the market for a local Hertfordshire based estate agency that did things a bit differently and it is nice to see that there definitely is!
