Overall Description

This large and beautifully presented family home has been much improved by its current owners, the biggest change being the addition of a rear kitchen/dining room extension five years ago with magnificent new fully fitted kitchen. This really is the heart of the home and has a separate dining area with a breakfast bar overlooking the kitchen and full-width sliding doors that open out into the garden. The sitting room has an attractive wooden parquet floor and wood-burning stove and there is also a downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs, the loft has been converted to create a large master bedroom with lovely views across the garden to the countryside beyond, and in the middle floor there are two more double bedrooms and a bath/shower room, fully tiled in travatine. Outside there is a pleasant front garden and to the rear a large back garden that has been cleverly sub-divided to make maximum use of the space. This includes a fully insulated garden studio (with electricity and even air-conditioning), decking area with space/plumbing for a hot tub, central lawn, further decking with summerhouse and a vegetable patch with potting shed. To the front of the property is a driveway with space for three or four cars. This large and modern family home is well worth a proper look around so if you'd like to arrange a viewing please call. We have an Open House viewing booked from 10am to 11am on Saturday 27th August so please do call to arrange a viewing. Location

The property is located in the small and picturesque Hertfordshire village of Aspenden just a quarter of a mile outside of Buntingford, which is a small bustling market town situated on the old A10 London to Cambridge Road - originally the Roman Ermine Road heading North from London. This picturesque town has a good range of local amenities including a supermarket, shops, pubs, restaurants, etc. It also has good local schools including the Freman College and Millfield First School as well as a range of local sports clubs including a football club and swimming pool, so is a great place for young families wanting a more rural lifestyle. Aspenden is well positioned for commuting south to London or north to Cambridge via the A10 and there are rail links to London from either Royston, Stevenage or Ware. The village is surrounded by beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, with plenty of excellent footpaths and bridleways in the area, so is an ideal location for keen walkers or cyclists.
