Overall Description

This very well presented terraced house has been extended by the current owners to create a magnificent large and airy kitchen/dining/family living space opening out to the garden - the true heart of the home. The property has a modern and light feel throughout with the original sitting and dining rooms being open-plan and a playroom or home office having been created in the rear of the garage while leaving a storage space for bikes, etc. at the front. There are three bedrooms upstairs, the back one with a pleasant rural aspect, and a modern bathroom with further cloakroom downstairs, double-glazed windows and gas central-heating. The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac, well set back from the road, with a private driveway in the front garden. The back garden has been pleasantly landscaped with central stepped lawn, well-stocked borders, a patio and separate area of decking by the pond. If you are looking for a spacious and modern village home close to a station, schools and other amenities then viewing is highly recommended. Location

This modern family home sits in a quiet cul-de-sac in the popular village of Watton-at-Stone and in the catchment area for the village Preschool, Primary and Nursery School. The village is popular with commuters because it has a railway station (around a 5 minute walk away), on the loop line between Hertford and Stevenage, with regular trains to Finsbury Park and Moorgate (30-40 minutes journey). Watton At Stone is a thriving community with very good village facilities including St Mary's Church, the Methodist Church, the Memorial Hall, doctor's surgery, playing fields, village shop (now a Londis), village bakers, family butchers, hairdressers, Chinese take-away, service station and a number of good pubs (see www.wattonatstone.info for more details). The location is especially popular with young families who want to live a quieter more rural lifestyle with their children - the River Beane runs through the village and there are plenty of footpaths leading out across the beautiful surrounding countryside. Further amenities, senior schools and High St shops are to be found in both Hertford and Stevenage and the village is accessible to the A1 at Stevenage and A10/A414 at Ware.
