A fresh approach to selling your home

The Law Society today have issued new guidance to anyone selling a home and filling out the standard TA6 question about the presence of Japanese Knotweed and it puts much more onus on the sellers and you need to state that you are absolutely sure that the weed is NOT present or you must write NOT KNOWN in answer to the question.

The Law Society state that:

“If no is chosen as an answer the seller must be certain that no rhizome (root) is present in the ground of the property, or within three metres of the property boundary even if there are no visible signs above ground.”
